
Vacations are much needed to rejuvenate and replenish your stressed out bodies. However, if you are like me, exercise is like brushing my teeth, part of my daily routine. Lets face it though, when on vacation, you probably want to maximize your time with your family or friends, and so it can be hard to pull yourself away and find a convenient gym. If you are at a resort or hotel with a pool, and enjoy some water relaxation, then this 20 min workout is perfect for you! With the resistance from the water, this can be just as an effective workout as being in the gym for 1 hour!
Jog in place
Keep knees high and run from one end of pool to next.
High Knee Side March
Quickly jump from side to side, keeping feet together.
Squat jump
Squatdown with arms extended atshoulderheight; jump as high as possible while raising arms overhead.
Flutter kick
Hold onto edge of pool, arms extended; kick legs quickly.
Outer-thigh lift
Stand with feet together, holding edge with left hand. Lift right leg out to side. Do 20 reps on each side.
Core Rotation
– Stand with feet hip width apart, hands clasped directly in front of you and move your hands to the right, twisting your torse. Then to the left. Repeat 15 times
Crunch
– Place your feet on the edge of the pool and your body should be half in the water. Slowly crunch upwards. 15 Reps
Leg Raises
– Holding on to the ledge behind you, keep your knees locked and raise your legs. Repeat for 15 Reps.
