The pomegranate is one of the most luxurious of fruits. It’s rich color and sparkling juice were often associated with wealth and nobility. The fruit itself was also considered a symbol of fertility, power and prosperity due to the multiple seeds and rich pulp.
The juice of this fruit was often applied to lips and skin of royalty for youth and vitality.
Research done in recent years also shows that pomegranates are high in Zinc and contain Anthocyanin, an enzyme that prevents free radicals and promotes young, supple skin. Used regularly, the results are undeniable.
This mask can be used every alternate day for most potential. Do NOT store any leftovers, use immediately or the mask will lose its efficacy.
Pomegranate Age-Defying Beauty Mask:
- Pomegranate pulp (seeds included)
- Lemon juice
- Green Tea
Mash and mix all the ingredients using a mortar and pestle or a grinder. Apply the watery lotion on your face and neck using a cotton ball.
If you’re not a fan of the watery nature of this lotion, mix it up with a face-mask base like Fullers earth, Chick-pea flour or rice flour powder and apply as you would a mask.
