1. DRINK TONS OF WATER
I had to get up and bring myself a glass of wate as I typed this because not drinking enough water is a sin and I’m guilty as charged. The truth is, however, that a lot of the problems we have with the way we look and feel is relevant to the amount of water we gulp down. Water will help clear your skin, it will keep you fuller and away from excessive food eating that your body does not need!
2. WALK MORE OFTEN
Agreed, it’s difficult to do so in Jeddah, but that’s no excuse. If you feel like there’s no way you’re getting around to hitting the gym or the mall for your doze of shopping cardio, just pick up your phone and walk around the house. You can time yourself and continue for around half an hour, and if you’ve got a smartphone, download one of those applications that count how many steps you take – you should aim to build up to 10,000 steps a day!
Even if you’re spending the day at home or just making a trip to Danube, make it a daily ritual to cleanse and moisturize your skin. Invest in a good moisturizer because it’s definitely a must-have. 4. SAY NO TO THE NEGATIVES
There’s too many of… what I’d call “demerit” goods: things that harm others more, than benefit society overall (it’s an economics thing!). For instance, smoking is more harmful overall, as opposed to being beneficial. Another big demerit good is STRESS! That’s what brings me to my next point…
5. RELAX… & MEDITATE
Today’s life is, in all honesty, too busy for our own good. But every once in a while, give yourself a break. Don’t worry about useless things that can’t be changed, and try to focus on making life better for not just yourself and people around you, but also those who’re not as fortunate as you are. Considering that we’ve got an LED screen to read this post from, I’d say we’re all better off than a LOT of people who can’t even afford food. So take the time off work and stressful things, focus on yourself and then take some time to give back to others.
