Celebs in Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year: MARSALA

It’s not even 2015 yet and celebrities are eager to be seen in Pantone’s color of the year 2015: Marsala! Unlike previous years of pops of color, this year Marsala is beautiful, rich earthy shade that screams elegance and sophistication.

Much like the fortified wine that gives marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal, while it’s grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness,” Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute’s executive director, said via press release. “This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors.”

The next day, Queen Bey graced the 2014 Billboard Women in Music Luncheon with her presence in a wine-hued knotted Haute Hippie number with diamond jewels and chunky platform sandals.
