Morroccan Diaries – Fashion Shoot At Marrakech

So where do I begin? The route towards Marrakech was memorable and took months of planning. Working with a creative team we mixed business and pleasure to make it a trip to remember. Innaya Couture collaborated with Faika Karim creating a wanderlust collection. Hair and makeup by the talented Bashy and captured by none other than Content Photography.

Why Marrakech?

Marrakech is a fusion of the rich, cultural heritage and has a unique appeal. One can see the blend of influences from the East, North Africa and Andalusia and nothing encapsulates this more than the Medina of Marrakech. Walking through the enchanting narrow streets of the bazaar one gets a taste of exotic 11th Century where traders and travelers cross paths, a move from bohemian chic to a cosmopolitan sense of luxury. The superb detail of architecture, the meticulous craftsmanship is mirrored in the Marrakech collection.

GET THE MARRAKECH LOOK:

Jewellery –

The jewels used had an alluring ambience with deep dark tones inspired by Moroccan artisans for a graceful, if not inventive presentation of luxurious femininity. As per my previous blogs, and even now I’m still raving about the chokers, layering, ear cuffs, hand pieces and the staple Saath Lara Haar. Currently I LOVE the Maryem mala..A timeless beauty that will definitely get better with age.

FAIKA KARIM:

– Moroccan glamour with structured commanding silhouettes skirts with a high waist line and high neck tops was a reoccurring theme for the collection.
